"Solidarity in Crisis: Emergency Event to Support Humanitarian Relief in Northwest Syria"
On the 12th of February, the United Nations (UN) aid chief Martin Griffiths's statement:
“We have so far failed the people in north-west Syria. They rightly feel abandoned. Looking for international help that hasn’t arrived,” Griffiths said on Twitter.
Here became our duty to civically engage with the local organizations to stand with the earthquake victims in northwest Syria. For this reason, we are inviting you to our fundraising art exhibition to support relief initiatives for survivors in Syria.
Eed Be Eed, is collaborating with around 30 artists to organize a series of artistic events and an exhibition that will aid civil work to relieve those affected by the earthquake in northwestern Syria. The exhibition, slated to be held on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of March at Moos Space Berlin, will run for three days and feature the sale of paintings, photographs, and handcrafts made by people in Syria.
The event will also welcome some of the active civil society organizations in Germany that have been working towards providing relief aid to earthquake victims. They will showcase their work and collect donations for their relief projects.
This event will provide a platform for activists to discuss what is happening in the affected areas and how the international community should respond to the earthquake in the areas already struggling with the conflict that has been ongoing since 2011 in Syria.”
We are creating this event based on 100% voluntary work.
All proceeds will go towards supporting earthquake relief efforts.
We will appreciate your support and standing with Northwest Syrian victims.
